In the UK, there are many associations set up by the Chinese people based on their ancestral surnames. However, it is unclear why a Lees' Association has not been previously established in the UK.
The Lee family make up a large percentage of the Chinese population and should therefore be represented as an organisation, hence the need to form the Lees Association UK.
After a many hours spent in the planning and discussions in meetings, the Lees Association UK was formed on 12th of November 2007 in London by the founding members.
The Lees Association UK is staffed by elected members for a three year term to serve the members of the Lees Association UK. |
